Eye injury / smaller pupil
My cat (13yo male) had a fight with another cat a month ago now. He ended up with a scratch on his lower eyelid and one on his third eyelid. In the last four weeks, he’s had two fluorescein checks (no damage to eye itself found), he’s had oral antibiotics, antibiotic eye drops and steroid (Maxidex) drops, and it eventually started to clear up. Eventually we were just on the steroid drops, last one Tuesday, it’s now Thursday. I have noticed a few times in the last couple of weeks, and still today, the pupil of that eye is slightly smaller than the other.. does anyone know what could cause this? Residual irritation? Or perhaps sensitivity to light from the drops still? This evening he has had it closed a couple of times, which he hadn’t done for a week now..
Will be making vet appointment in asap but any advice appreciated
