I’m not a web designer, but I’ve been working on a small personal project with my friend. As we write blogs, it always irks both of us that I can’t see the other person's edits in real time on WordPress. Especially if we’re working on the same post and end up overwriting each other's changes. We decided to work together in Google Docs instead and then paste into the CMS. 

Out of curiosity and unrelated to this project, do some of the more expensive CMS platforms actually solve this, already offer it, or is it still mostly versioning and locking behind the scenes.

I’m looking into agentic AI and how it fits into real CMS workflows. There’s a ton of talk about content automation right now, but not many real examples from teams actually using it. I’m getting frustrated trying to decode what’s actually working for people vs. what’s just hype.

I’m looking for ways to reduce tedious work across content operations. Things like automating tagging, assisted content creation, and automating publishing workflows across channels. In theory, agentic AI handling manual processes like drafting, structuring, tagging, and routing content through approval flows sounds great. In practice, I’m not sure how reliable it is yet.

I’ve seen this sort of stuff marketed by different CMS platforms like Contentful and Adobe AEM, but their AI features feel more assistive than truly agentic. I also came across Brightspot, which seems to be promoting agentic AI specifically for workflows, but I’d love to hear perspectives from teams actually using agentic AI within enterprise CMS platforms.
