I've never really written anything like this before and I've only recently found out about all tomorrows, so don't be surprised if its kind of low-quality
The Primorphials
Unlike the majority of other post-human lifeforms at the time, the Primorphials had retained noticeably superior levels of intelligence. Though not yet to the point of the Star People or even the original humans, they still had a high amount of intellect compared to the other post-humans of its time, with them quickly gaining intelligence comparable to cavemen within about 150 years after the Qu had left. This heightened level of intelligence is mainly due to the fact that these particular creatures were created as a form of entertainment for the Qu, similar to jesters from old Earth. In other words, these creatures had heightened intelligence compared to other species due to them acting as a sort of television, having to follow commands by their Qu overlords to get them their desired choice of entertainment.
In terms of anatomy, these creatures somewhat resemble an arachnid, though its limbs look more like thickened human limbs. A Primorphial also has an arachnid-like abdomen; it is instead utilized for entertainment purposes. The abdomen has a thick, liquid-like substance inside of it. This liquid substance can be ejected out of its abdomen, with the Primorphial having almost full control of the liquid as long as it remains in contact with the Primorphial’s receptors attached to its skin. This liquid can also liquify at will, acting as a way to add “props” or extra objects to whatever the Qu wants to watch. On this abdomen are also 2 spindly limbs, acting as legs as these creatures do in fact stand on their hind legs.
After the Qu left, the Primorphials quickly adapted to their new homes. Their planet was flourishing with life, fauna filled the ground and towering trees and other alien vegetation was all over the planet, the dense forests making an extremely enclosed and dark environment. Luckily for them, this environment served almost no challenge for these intelligent creatures. Their eight limbs helped them greatly, allowing them to easily traverse and climb the towering trees of their world for avoiding predators, creating safe, enclosed shelters; and hunting for insects and other prey living in the treetops of their world. The morphing fluid in their abdomen also helped them greatly, allowing them to reach through the dense enclosed regions of the jungle for food. Not long after, the Primorphials quickly formed a flourishing caveman-level society—the treetops being the caves.
The Fluid Folk (Descendants of Primorphials)
Not long after, unsurprisingly, the Primorphials quickly gained sapience and began to expand throughout their luscious jungly world. They had evolved a second pair of spindly limbs this time on their *upper* abdomen, as one main challenge of their anatomy was the lack of enough non-stubby, tool-making limbs, even with the stubby other limbs able to still help. (the first pair of spindly legs were also used for walking, so it was difficult to utilize.) their stubby limbs grew massive hooves, allowing them to climb and traverse the tall trees of their world way easier. Though in all the biggest change was the fluid in their abdomen, which had now somewhat fused with their regular tissue, making them able to morph their entire bodies into new forms to a pretty large extent. Because of all this, the Fluid Folk quickly created a flourishing, sapient society—their technology revolutionizing extremely quickly. They built massive flourishing cities across the treetops, connected via massive bridges and small tunnels that utilized their morphing ability for quick travel. Their morphing ability allowed for many gadgets and machines utilizing this ability as well. Not only that, due to the Fluid Folk having the ancestral ability of easily understanding their Qu mastermind’s desires for what choice of entertainment they wanted, they quickly gained a massive level of empathy and understanding, leading to conflict and crime being less common, leading to the further acceleration of their technology. Despite their twisted past as nothing but jesters for the Qu, they were able to grow into a blissful flourishing society.
