Just Quit

Just a rant but I just quit and I feel so good! I worked through an agency and with everything I finally had enough. The family I worked for was definitely becoming more than I signed up for and it bothered me that I was doing two jobs for the price of one. It never made sense as to why I was doing EVERY family members laundry from baby on up to the grandparents. It irked me that I would wash, dry and fold their clothes and at times not have enough time to put it away and they’d leave it for me to do when my only responsibilities were things pertaining to NK and that was a handful in itself. The last straw was me dealing with being sick for two weeks due to the unhygienic home environment and the agency punishing me and removing all my shifts when I followed protocol and called out in a timely manner and provided documentation from my doctor. Then at the last minute because I have open availability and none of the other Nannie’s would take it I start getting shifts again. It felt incredibly good to quit. I hope I find a good family to work for soon but I will enjoy the new time I have to myself and definitely a lesson learned that I will not go through an agency again.
