What is a bias and is it okay to have one?

I was the person who made the post about if there were older coers in the fandom. Ive learned a lot through my journey as a BTS and even a TXT fan and still trying to understand things even being a new Coer but I never understood what a bias truly means and if it’s a good or bad thing to even have one? Some people told me a bias is simply who your favorite member in the group is while others said it involves some form of parasocial/romantic undertones (which if that’s the case I just never felt that way towards idols in general). I even heard people saying it could just be the member you feel is most similar to you personality wise. Is there a one definition thing for it?
