Anyone else had an awful experience ordering directly from Nintendo?

Ordered the Diana amiibo from Nintendo Store on Friday. No updates, chat support doesn't understand the question of "when will this ship?", and no one at phone support can provide me an answer without somehow verifying my console's serial number. I've never had this rough an experience ordering from an online store before. Communication is nonexistent and I'm beginning to wonder if I'm better off just importing this thing from Japan at this rate.
