Rear suspension creaking when lowered from jack. Should I be worried?
Was changing out tires yesterday and noticed the right rear tire area making this creaking noise when lowering the car back down after being jacked from the right rear pinch weld. Almost like something is catching then releasing repeatedly.
Xp130 2012 6-speed manual. Didn't hear the same when lowering the other side. When driving, I have only heard the sound when driving off a high curb.
I also noticed occasionally a rhythmic bumpyness, like driving on wavy/bumpy road. Only really noticeable when driving around 40kmh (25mph) or slower. Might be a completely separate issue since after swapping the tires for my summer set I couldn't feel it anymore on a quick test drive. Got alignment done and redone at the tire shop. They couldn't see anything wrong with the tires at a glance after the second time doing the alignment. The set is a fresh set of studs.
