golden age guts design based on knight of swords from tarot?
sorry if this has been brought up before, i couldn't find any results when google searching for any citing from miura or another discussion about this topic, which there doesn't seem to be.
but mostly it's the red cloak, and the knight of swords card representing someone in their full element expressing agency/control over their life, or the world around them. guts' main trauma is having his control taken from him>!by donovan as a child, then later griffith during the eclipse!<
ofc this is just his golden age design, when he still has belief and a sense of cultivating control and a place in life as the hawk's raider captain under griffith/consistently training to be a better swordsman to be strong/finding intimacy with casca, which is exactly what the card would exemplify, taking control and bettering yourself.
but, we know how that goes.
