I’ve always been bad with dental hygiene (not routine as a kid, depression, etc) but I’m really trying to keep on it as best I can. Im really just looking for any advice on how to work through some of these specifics issues I encounter.

I unfortunately have some still undetermined health issues that flare up and make regular brushing really hard. I get flare ups of cracked corners of my lips that take weeks to heal, sore tongue and mouth sores, chronic dermatitis around my nose/mouth/chin, and this can make brushing regularly really hard. Either painful or just making healing of any of these issues harder. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I often have to weigh the fact that I need to brush my teeth, but will flare up these other symptoms and take even longer to heal, and it’s easier to just not bother during those times even though I feel disgusting.
