I scored a 70 AFQT Asvab score. It’s alright, but I got a 91 on the General Science portion, and the job I want (68W) requires a 101.
I’m a senior in highschool and have never studied, for anything, my brain just doesn’t work like that. However, I’m unsure how to learn what I need to score higher in that portion. I plan on just going to the library and reading the asvab study guide and hoping I’ll retain it like I would with a teacher going over it in class, but do you all have any tips? Are there any other non studiers who needed a higher score an found a way to make it work?
The reason I’m so head set on 68W involves a few things, one I’m a soon to be General Med student. I’m committed to wrestle there aswell so that’s a plus, but in my mind being able to go and study health science and anatomy and psychology and then apply those things to help people out is just perfect. I get real world experience while also in school learning. I will mention in going reserves, this has to do with the wrestling, it’s honestly a really big priority for me, no one in my family has gone to college especially not while playing sports, but I do intend on going active after college.
