About 20 days post opp. Until two days ago I was feeling mostly back to normal, no pain, just exhaustion when I tried to go any do anything. Also some abdomen weakness if I was sitting up too long. Post surgery I hadn’t been in pain much, I stopped using the pain medication after about 5 days. Then this weekend came around and the pain started - lots and lots of cramps like how my period used to be (I have an IUD), dull and sometimes stabbing pain in my uterus and back but no blood.

So, is this my period right now? But maybe there’s no blood because I bled after surgery? Is it ovulation? It is payback for actually doing things this week for the first time post surgery? Or I likely have pelvic congestion syndrome too so maybe it’s that. Is this normal about 3 weeks out from surgery? Or did I do something to mess things up?

Surgery was: taking out endometriosis, taking out a cyst & my fallopian tubes, taking out an IUD and putting a new one in. Each time when I previously got my IUD replaced, my period returned for a few months and then eventually disappeared again.

I was feeling so much better this week! I worked a whole week, went to two concerts, a rehearsal, and walked my dog multiple times. It felt like I was finally getting back into things! Now I am curled up with a heating pad regretting my decisions. Wondering if I brought this on by over extending myself when I felt better or if this is just my cycle starting post surgery.
