Today’s shop trip
It seems every time I go to the coin store to pad out my half dollar collection & sell my extra finds, I end up seeing more graded slabs with variety/ type info that I didn’t know about. Is there a full spreadsheet somewhere of the full varieties, years, mints, etc of all half dollars? I’m looking for all regular circulation/non-commemorative US halves. I have a spreadsheet started with most of what I’ve found online. Mostly looking for info on pre-Kennedy mintages. I’ve been using the Wikipedia mintages lists, but they seem incomplete based on what I’ve seen as far as varieties.
Would also appreciate known error coin lists to look for pre-Kennedy halves.
I went in today to look through the junk silver bin for walkers & franklins I still need to get, but apparently someone came in yesterday and dropped alot of money to get 100$ FV in 90% halves. At the store’s prices that’s like 5300-5400$ in coins. Stinks, I know they had about a dozen left that I still was looking to fill spots in the binder. Didn’t touch the dimes, quarters, nickels, dollars or generic bullion. RIP. There’s only a few places to get coins, let alone older halves, near me without driving for hours.
