What is the fare of taxi, from old manali to shinkula top.

One jimny owner quoted 7000 to top of shinkula top. And one said 6000 for before top.

Planning a Manali trip with my family and got a bit confused about where to stay.

I’m stuck between Mall Road (main Manali) and Old Manali.

I’m from a metro city, so honestly I just want some peace, greenery, less crowd etc… not too much chaos. But at the same time, since it’s a family trip, convenience also matters.

How far is Old Manali from Mall Road actually? Like in real conditions, not Google Maps — especially during peak season traffic.

Also, is Old Manali a good option with family or will it become a hassle?

Or should I just stay somewhere a little away from Mall Road for a balance?

Any budget hotel suggestions would also help 🙏
