I'm a first-year BSA student, and I'm struggling to keep up with my Income Taxation course.

I'm trying my best to keep up, but I guess my best isn't enough. I review for many hours, just to always get half-scores (35/60, 35/55, or worse, my midterms 45/80). During recitations, I know the answers, but can't really defend them. I got 2.75 (77%) for my midterm grade, and now, for my finals, my professor always had to mention me in front of our class (though I'm not the only one).

I watch video explanations, practice problem-solving, and review past quizzes to correct what I got wrong. But still, what can I do to improve?
