Hi everyone,

I’m planning to move to Germany to study the language, but I’m a bit confused and would really appreciate your advice.

Right now I’m choosing between Stuttgart and Schwerin.

Stuttgart seems like a great city with more opportunities, but I know it’s quite expensive (especially rent).

Schwerin looks much cheaper, especially for housing, but I honestly couldn’t find much information about the city or language schools there.

My goal is mainly to learn German (from around B1 to C1) and live in a place where I can focus on the language without too much financial pressure.

So my questions:

Is Schwerin a good choice for a language student?

Are there decent language schools there?

Or is Stuttgart worth the higher cost?

Any advice or personal experiences would really help 🙏
