Hi everyone, I’m looking for some insight from people who have been through IVF stims/retrieval.
Before starting stims, my baseline follicle count was 9. At my monitoring appointment today, they still saw 9 follicles, but my doctor said 3 of them haven’t really grown since the last scan.
I’m trying to understand what to realistically expect. Is it possible for those slower/stalled follicles to catch up by Saturday? And for those who had around 9 follicles seen on scans, how many eggs did you end up retrieving?
I’ve also seen some people say they retrieved more eggs than follicles counted on ultrasound. Did that happen to anyone, and was it because smaller follicles weren’t counted/measured?
I know everyone’s cycle is different and my clinic will know best, but I’d love to hear others’ experiences while I wait.
