lincoln airport vs omaha airport

I love when the Lincoln airport is the cheaper option. I will even spend a bit more to fly out of Lincoln for convivence. I'm having a hard time figuring this math out though- and maybe someone else can help me.

Lincoln to FLL, thru ORD: $647
Omaha to FLL thru ORD: $119

Breaking it down to each segment:

OMA to ORD: $169
LNK to ORD: $459
ORD to FLL: $149 (Same connecting flight on both from ORD to FLL, priced separately)

Maybe it's a airport thing, or a day thing? Let's try on the way back.

MIA to OMA, thru ORD: $389
MIA to LNK thru ORD: $700

Again, same flight MIA to ORD nonstop, priced separately: $221
ORD to LNK: $479
ORD to OMA:$169

These numbers are all from united.com , all economy main cabin.

Make it make sense.
