In From, the theory suggests that the seven sacrificed children have been hiding among the town residents all along and I think I’ve identified them.
First is the girl who was pinned to a tree by the monsters. Notice the wound on her head—it matches the girl who later reunited with Tabitha. She has the exact same scar on her forehead, which could also explain why the monsters didn’t eat her.
The second clue comes from official stills: Father Khatri. The ghost child shares the exact same finger-clasping habit he had in life, which feels like a deliberate hint.
The third and fourth are the two children who once stood outside Tabitha’s door. They look almost like twins. I think they correspond to Clara (in blue) and Elgin from the communal house. There’s supporting evidence in Miranda’s drawings as one child was injured in the left eye, the other in the right, with perfectly symmetrical wounds. Elgin had his eye stabbed by Sara, while Clara was injured in the eye by a bursting light bulb when Jim was building the antenna. One left, one right just like the drawing.
Clara is also suspicious in general. She often disappears at critical moments for example, when monsters broke into the communal house, she wasn’t seen in the crowd. And when Boyd gathered everyone to search for Fatima, Clara was missing again.
That leaves three more ghost children. One is a long-haired girl, and another is a child with East Asian features. The long-haired girl could be Marielle as her pale complexion lines up with Marielle’s severe drug addiction. The East Asian looking boy is likely Kenny, which might explain why the monsters took his entire family but never harmed him.
As for the 7th child, they’ve never appeared alone in the series. That suggests they could be the most important one of all.
