Currently living with nephrostomy tube and awaiting my appointment next week to see if the blockage has subsided. If it is not subsided, i will have to undergo a reimplantation surgery.

Has anyone gone through this and would like to share the outcome?

When you rewatch a show, your brain already knows what's coming, so it doesn't need to stay "on guard." With a new show, your brain is constantly tracking new characters, learning rules of the world, predicting plot outcomes, and deciding if it's worth continuing. Plus, the "hit rate" is low Most shows are average. Only a small fraction reach that "I'm fully invested, can't stop watching" level.

Edit: Saying “how will you find new shows to rewatch,” is not a gotcha. It just assumes you need constant discovery. Also, never said that watching new shows is bad, I just have a better viewing experience rewatching old shows.

Also, you guys seem to not understand where i’m coming from. So for the last time, saying I prefer rewatching old comfort shows when i’m looking for something to watch ≠ I never watch new shows. (E.g. saying i prefer apples to oranges ≠ I will never eat oranges from time to time)

In the eastern world, it’s pretty common for kids to live with their parents until they’re financially stable or get married, and they usually don’t pay rent. Is it normal in the U.S. for parents to charge their kids rent once they turn 18? And if they don’t pay, is that strictly enforced or more flexible?

did anyone else find the final exam really hard or just me? Looking back at it many of the questions were from the review sessions but it was still really hard
