Honorable Ned when he finds out that someone killed the king he was about to kill

Also goes for Stanis, both Ned and the Baratheons broke their oaths to the mad king, sam as Jaime.

Also what was Ned planning to do with the king if he had found him alive in the throne room? Would Ned have arrested the man who burnt his father and brother to death at the start of the war?

Rob lost as soon as Renley died

Ive been rereading the books and ive realised that Robs cause was doomed even earlier than i thought. When Cat witnesses the death of Renley she thinks back to the threat Stanis made against Rob, He calls him a Usurper and a thief and doesn’t show any evidence of wanting to make concessions to him, unlike Renley. This means that even if Stanis took kings landing and was crowned Rob would still be at war, and Stanis would march on him and probably kill him with magic.

Renley was basically his only hope of a negotiated peace and remaining king in the north, his bannermen would probably not have accepted rob uncrowning himself and even if he did the fact he crowned himself once would make Stanis see him as a threat and so he might kill him anyway. Honestly Rob may have had more hope dealing with the lanisters who are notably less competent and assassinating people

We don’t talk enough about the legend

I am listening to the Roy Dotrice asoiaf audiobooks and i just love his interpretation of them, he voices most of the characters really well and he is so easy to listen too, often voices of audiobooks get grating after afew hours but his is always welcome! What a guy
