My girlfriend and her 2 friends went to Jumbo’s tonight, served by Stephanie. All three are black woman. They ordered a beer and two cocktails, one of which was supposed to be a vodka soda but was made a tequila soda. Cash payment was made and a complaint was made to bartender over mistake with cocktail after to get it re-made.
Stephanie was taking shots at the bar with customers the whole time and clearly drunk and unaware of what was going on despite taking the payment and making drinks.
She randomly turned around while behind the bar and said “you bitches didn’t give me money, where the fuck is my money at? You bitches think you’re gonna run off?” While clapping in their face. She accused my GF and her friends of stealing and convinced other white dudes at the bar to puff their chest and walk up to them saying “yeah, GTFO this is a place for regulars!”
My GF told them fuck off, run the cameras back. They did so with an attitude. Saw the girls pay them in cash, counted the drawers and saw it was $24 over (they tipped $6 on an $18 bill). Lady at the bar very quietly said “I’m so sorry”. Everyone else continued with side eyes and name calling them out the door. They didnt even finish their drinks.
I’ve been there with her many times and love bartender Andrew on sundays. Was in shock to hear what happened to them today and I feel like it would have gone much different if I as a white man was sitting with them.
Pathetic behavior from a drunk ass bartender. They should be ashamed. Never returning
