Would you take another internship if it felt more aligned with your career goals?

I’m 28, American living in France, finishing an international end of studies internship that gave me good experience but likely won’t lead to a job due to budget constraints. I am finishing my masters degree and thesis from a school in France.

I just got offered another internship at a global company in a role that feels MUCH more aligned with what I actually want to do long term. I really liked the team and can genuinely see myself there. It’s the type of end of studies internship I wish I had started in January.

The downside:
- it’s still an internship
- I’m tired of feeling stuck in “student/intern” life at 28

The upside:
- much stronger role/company fit
-money is good for an internship
- international experience
- seems like a better long-term stepping stone

I feel ridiculous taking another internship as I have 6+ years of marketing experience but I know the job market is hard (especially as a foreigner). I will keep looking for a CDI/CDD while in the internship.

I don’t want to sit around for months, no money, not gaining any new skills. That’s why I’d rather take the internship for the experience, money, and skills.

Would you take the offer?
