I go to a pretty rough school in the Bronx and there is a really scary thing going on. Basically if someone gets knocked out in a fight the student that knocked him out will pull down his pants and insert an object typically something like notebook paper rolled into a tube inside the persons “behind” if you will. I’ve seen this happen probably 5 times now. Thankfully the school is hiring more security to stop this kind of thing but I’m scared. Do u transfer schools? I’m currently a junior in high school.

I work in a urban Title I school in a rough part of town. So naturally there is a lot of fights and conflict that happen at this school. But a new trend has got me quite disturbed. It’s called “taking the butt”. Basically, if another student gets knocked out during a fight the student that knocked them out will pull the pants down of the student that got knocked out and put an object inside their cavity typically a pencil or something similar. In my 15 years as an educator I’ve never seen something so heinous and disgusting. Thankfully police are arresting these students but it’s just genuinely the sickest and most disturbing trend I’ve seen it’s happened like 8 times since the school year has started. Thankfully someone is usually able to break up a fight before anyone gets knocked out but still. It’s just so messed up thankfully admin is adding more security guards to combat this but I’m at a loss for words. Is this happening at other schools?
I am a high school teacher who teaches 11th grade in a public school in the Bay Area. For the entire year I’ve had this trans student let’s call him Jacob. Jacob has changed his pronouns multiple times throughout the year which is fine. But this student never tells me his new pronouns so when I use “she” or “they” on accident. He freaks out and starts yelling at me that I’m discriminating against him some of the other students join in as well and call me transphobic. I’ve sent him up to the office multiple times but now he is claiming that I am targeting him for being trans. His parents are now involved and are again accusing me of transphobia. I genuinely don’t know what to do I don’t hate trans people. I am genuinely only sending him up to the office because of his yelling and disruptive behaviour.
