So I'm still new to laser cutting and I've been making my own custom clear acrylic keychains, every so often I will get these black scorch marks on the outer rim.

I'm trying the wash with soapy water method but it's not removing all of them 100%.

Should I be cutting with the top paper film off? Or is there a better cleaning method to use

My cut settings currently are

Speed 420

Power 12

Passes 3

I'm cutting 3mm clear acrylic. 2 passes doesn't cut them all the way through unfortunately and I found upping the power led to more melty edges so this is kind of the sweet spot I've discovered in between a lot of wastes sheets.
