with offers coming in left and right, i’ve been rethinking my choice in the course i’ve chosen (pharmacy) because of its future prospects. i scored 70 for As but i feel like i love science, but i don’t think i would be able to build the life i want with a degree in pharmacy.
i was thinking about appealing to nus cs, primarily because i think i learn fast and want the challenge of learning something new and also useful. i also think cs has the potential to be ‘fun’ for me, and i’m the kind of person that gets motivated to do stuff only if it’s fun. even if it gets tough in the future, i’m confident of my ability to pull myself up and out as long as it involves mugging (how self deprecating).
however, there are a lot of factors for me to consider. i’ve got almost NO coding experience except some kinda python camp from ntu last year (the program was kind of bad). i went for nus scholarships interview recently and they are considering me under he premise i’m being accepted into pharmacy, so it might affect me getting the scholarship. i also have offers from NTU CS and biz double major, and SMU biz and CS double degree program (lmao), so i also have the option of going there if the appeal fails. i still really want to get into nus cs for its reputation, teaching quality and affordability compared to ntu and smu
so should i appeal? what are my chances of getting a successful appeal with no coding experience? what should i include in my appeal? thanks everyone in advance for your help
