I’m looking to start a small business selling preloved mid-tier Seiko and vintage watches, and I’m currently trying to understand how sourcing works in this industry.

For people already in the watch resale space:

• How did you find your first reliable suppliers or inventory sources?
• Did you start with local dealers, online marketplaces, auctions, or private collectors?
• For vintage Seikos especially, how do you verify authenticity and avoid heavily modified/franken watches?
• Any beginner mistakes to avoid when buying and reselling?

I’m based in Singapore and still in the research phase, so I’d really appreciate practical advice from people with real experience in the watch community.
