My goal is simply to use one of these cables to transfer Pokémon from Colo/XD to GBA, and I want to make sure I’m using only legit hardware ☀️
I want to say that these cables are authentic, just from a basic visual assessment. To my knowledge, fakes aren’t much of a thing, and certainly don’t match this build quality. But the screws do make me second guess. 🔧
It’s my understanding that these cables were usually put together using triwing screws - but I’ve also read that the silver Phillips head screws pictured were also used. Is this correct? But then, what about the black screws?
And, if the screws aren’t original - why might someone even need to open up these cables? Is it feasible that someone may have tampered with or replaced the internals?
