Hello all, I recently got a new mouthpiece to use for C in particular. Searching for that big, powerful orchestra sound. I got one that’s admittedly pretty big, but in the mid to low range, it sounds just fabulous. I’m just having trouble making my high range speak (my articulation and flexibility also seem to be doing very well). Is this just a learning curve with a larger mouthpiece? My piccolo work is coming along nicely. I feel like if I can get through the curve and strengthen myself to play high with my big mouthpiece, I’d have exactly the sound I want. But does it seem to be worth all the extra work?
