Picked this up today in the UK for £10 and I’m trying to find out more about it.

It appears to be solid wood, hand carved and hand painted. The style feels possibly Indian / Tibetan / North African inspired, but I honestly have no idea on its actual origin or age.

It has:
- hand carved decorative side panels
- painted floral and figure motifs
- multiple drawers
- a very unusual tapered shape
- old age cracking/shrinkage in the wood
- obvious wear from age/use

It definitely doesn’t look mass produced to me.

I’m mainly trying to identify:
- what style/origin it is
- rough age
- whether it was made for a specific purpose
- if it’s genuinely old or just vintage

I’ve added photos of the sides, drawers, carvings and wood cracks/construction.

Any help appreciated.
