I’m 15 now, but I can’t stop thinking about it. My Mum is Christian and my Dad is Jewish, my sister is more Christian while I am more Jewish. I speak Hebrew fluently, as my relatives live in Israel. I had been so excited to have a Bat Mitzvah since I had gone to my cousins at the age of 8. I asked my parents at 10, who said sure. I asked them again at 12, nearing my birthday and they said “well, because we celebrate more christian holidays, we think it’d be better if we just celebrated a sweet sixteen instead.”. I don’t know, I’ve just been thinking about this a lot. Thanks for reading.
