Mine was an I2C issue that turned into a full day investigation.
Checked firmware.
Checked pull-ups.
Checked addresses.
Logic analyzer out.
Started suspecting timing issues.
Turned out SDA was physically damaged on the sensor board.
I’m convinced embedded engineering is just professionally narrowing down stupid possibilities for 8 hours straight.
Curious what other people’s “this can’t possibly be the issue” bugs were.
