Custom-made earplugs for music festivals and concerts
Hi, I’ve been searching the internet for more information about custom-made earplugs and I haven’t found very clear answers for what I’m interested in.
Last year I started looking for earplugs for music festivals for the first time.
I ordered several models from Loop earplugs: Switch, Experience, and tested them. For me, all they did was reduce the volume by making the sound feel more muffled.
Honestly, I don’t know who could enjoy music like that.
There are also a few other products on the market that I could try, such as Alpine MusicSafe Pro or Sennheiser Protex.
I’m looking for something that reduces the sound without modifying it. I want it to be as flat as possible.
How do custom-made earplugs improve on this?
I found a company in my own country which seems promising with custom made earbuds. It’s an investment that I won’t get back once I make it, and it’s not exactly cheap. I’d like to hear from people who have tried both types whether there is a difference between them for music festivals. Do the filters in custom-made earplugs also reduce the sound by making it muffled?
It’s worth mentioning that I had no issues with comfort or how the Loop earplugs fit in my ears — I just couldn’t stand how the sound was affected. So I don’t want to spend more money on custom-made ones only for them to be more comfortable.
