So I've always been interested in woodworking, and outside of a desk & some shelves for my wife's office (black iron screwed to rough lumber), I haven't ever really gotten around to it. Recently though, ive got a new career that allows for a lot more free time, so I was finally willing to get started, and what better to start off with than a bench? I've always been a consumer of woodworking content, from the New Yankee Workshop until now with woodworking YouTube. A lot of those projects are clearly out of reach for someone of my skill level, but I've had Scott Walsh's Evergreen Workbench bookmarked since the video came out a year and change ago, and I felt like that would be a good place to start, so I bought some plans and some tools and some wood. I learned a ton from the process and made countless mistakes, but I think it came out alright in the end. Didn't document as much of the WIP as I'd have liked, but I had a friend whose time and tools I was borrowing and I didnt want to go any slower than I already was. Already planning out my next couple projects (table saw cart & more storage) and cant wait to get working on them! Any advice is welcome. Thanks for looking!
