Vasily Vataman, a soldier from the newest BP with a curious backstory

Vataman Vasily Vasilievich was a Red Army soldier that used a captured Panzerfaust as a club during an offensive in 1945, he finished off a German officer and another soldier with it.

..."There is Vataman himself," the liaison pointed out to me. We approached and overheard part of the story about yesterday's battle. The subunit was attacking the enemy's defensive line. After an unsuccessful jump into a trench, Vataman fell, and at that moment, an ENEMY officer who appeared from around the corner kicked the carbine out of his hands.

"Things would have turned bad if this very faust hadn't caught my eye. And before he could even blink, I slammed it right into his forehead. It flattened him. I barely took a step toward my carbine when a second one lunged. One piece was enough for that one too. The lieutenant laughed afterward: 'You are something else,' he said, 'you've mastered ENEMY technology.'"...

[IDEA] My last 2 braincells think this might be a good idea: 153th Gurkha Parachute Batallion

Not gonna explain a lot of background, just the basics:

The 153th GPB was an specialized gurkha batallion in the Indian regiments of the british army. They fought mainly in the pacific front as airborne infantry, but also had a small number of operations in the European theatre.

Now, I'm darn obsessed with an event to conmemorate the VJ Day, so:

Event Squad (Paratroopers): 153th Gurkha Parachute Batallion

Main gun: Lee-Enfield No.5 Mk.I "Jungle Carbine"

What makes it special? Nothing, in fact it got rapidly outdated and in 1947 the brits declared it obsolete, it just looks badass.

Fire rate: 85 (Gotta make it some useful for higher BRs at least)

BR: II

Melee: Gurkha kukri

A deadly knife/machete that served and still serves with the Gurkha regiments. It was meant to be used as a tool to chop wood and weeds, but it became an iconic weapon among the Nepalese warriors.

Speed boost: 150 (and a loud war cry while eviscerating your enemies)

Ya better run japs

We always have an event for the V-E Day, but, why not the V-J Day?

I mean, it would be cool to have more events and more rewards, because I'm poor and the best I can do to enjoy new troopers is by playing squad events. So, if eventually darkflow releases an event to conmemorate the V-J Day, here are a few suggestions:

Japanese guerrilla with bamboo spears:

In the last days of ww2, the japanese trained their civilians to fight with bamboo spears. It was planned to send then to fight the american forces in Japan'a mainland, but fortunately it never happened. This would be a guerrilla squad armed with whatever weapon they used, and long bamboo spears that would give them a significant sprint boost. They would also wear japanese flag bandanas instead of helmets and well-worn uniforms mixed with civilian clothing, almost like the MP-719(r) Volkssturm squad.

BR: I or II if given captured M3 Grease guns

LVT-(A)4

Basically, a boat armed with a 75mm M2 howitzer. It was a landing tracked vehicle desgined to mount the M8 Scott turret and give direct support to infantry in the landings.

Could it float?

Yes

Would it be useful?

Maybe

Would it be fun?

Hell yeah, unless you play it in france.

BR: I - II

So, I've been thinking: Americans lack a good grenade launcher like the Arisaka mortar or RMN-50. Mortarmen are good enough, but, what if we could give AT soldiers the same capacity of absolutely annihilate great concentrations of enemy infantry?

The M18 Recoiless Rifle was a 57mm AT/Infantry suport weapon. It migth not look like the greatest AT gun ever, BUT it was, because it had a feature that most AT guns couldn't match: It was able to shoot HE and WP rounds, even Shrapnel in a similar way as shotguns do.

HEAT ROUNDS:

Penetration: 70mm - 80mm (not the greatest)

Range: 450mts

Muzzle velocity: 365mts/s (For reference, M6 rocket is 80mts/s)

Reload speed: 4 - 5 seconds (for balance and accuracy reasons)

Now, the M18 would not only shoot HEAT rounds, but also HE. For B A L A N C E R E A S O N S the number of rounds would be reduced to 3 - 3 rounds, with a HEAT round loaded as default. In a similar way as mortars, HE rounds would not be able to refill from ammo crates, only HEAT rounds.

HE ROUNDS:

(Same explosive features as 50mm mortar rounds, I'm too lazy to research every feature)

Muzzle speed: 300mts/s

WP ROUNDS

If you feel HE rounds would be too unfair for the enemy team, WP rounds could be another option:

(Same as a tank smoke greanade, but WP loaded)

BR: III - IV (cuz I'm a main BR III)

Would be a great gun for a Battle pass or reinforcements recieved along RPzB-54, or an event/premium squad.

I don't know much about this tank, but if I'm not wrong it was mainly used by the Marines in the Pacific front.

Every mechanical and armor feature is the same as the M4A3 (105), maybe a bit slower because of the fuel's weight

Flames could reach up to 32 (meters?)

Ammo fuel: 150 - 200 (For balance reasons)

BR: IV

Main gun: M3 (75mm)

No coax mg

Functional hull mg
