I'm starting in my career as a freelancer web engineer after I graduated as a software engineer.
already has +2 years experience in freelancing in my country, and it's going good bth, I usually use door to door outreach.
but now I want to start freelancing with European clients, US, UK, Canada clients. but didn't know how to start.
should I go on LinkedIn? Instagram? Facebook? twitter?
I prefer not using platforms like Upwork and fiver and building my own connections.
the real concern of mine is: is it that hard to get clients if you where living in third word country?
my country is Algeria, even thought that Algerian people are known in France and Europe, but but still want to know
how long it took you to land your first project?
also any advices or tips you wished knowing it sooner?

I'm starting on my freelance career, and built my portfolio,
I sow some tips about portfolios like:" make navigation easy and forward, make it strait to the point in the information, show value not tech, show projects ASAP, put a clear contact me, make it simple but yet appealing"
and this is what I came with.

I'm starting on my freelance career, and built my portfolio,
I'm not a designer so this is my weak point, had an idea of "since I'm not good at design then why don't I use minimalist but a bit tech style"
and this is what I came with
I sow some tips about portfolios like:" make navigation easy and forward, make it strait to the point in the information, show value not tech, show projects ASAP, put a clear contact me, make it simple but yet appealing"
I'm not looking for compliments, don't hold back, just throw what you think!
