SSD disabilities for RNs
So I’m applying for SSD benefits. I am RN in the ER and have bipolar, anxiety, panic attacks (definitely related to work in the ER) as well as depression. I am also currently unable to work as RN in the ER due to CMC arthritis that required surgery as well as cubital tunnel syndrome that required surgery on the same left arm. They are both very painful. I cannot do remote nursing work either because it requires typing on a computer and I can only use my right hand. Are these conditions something that would allow me to get Social Security disability or am I wasting my time? In addition, I have chronic kidney disease stage 3B which causes me to become dizzy or lightheaded. This has happened many times at work where I’ve had to actually hold onto the wall or sit down. Please advise.
