I’m looking for an Asian horror-comedy movie where a group of friends visits a hotel owned by one of their friend’s grandparents. The film is mostly in English but the grandparents might speak in another language with subtitles.

The hotel seems haunted and is genuinely scary at first, but the twist ending reveals the grandparents were behind it all – dressed up as ghosts and using a rigged pulley system in the attic to fake the haunting. There’s a specific scene where a girl accidentally (or on purpose??) gets caught up in the pulley system, and later you find out it was part of the whole setup.

The tone shifts to funny (I think) once the twist is revealed.
