I’ve been rocking my mini for around two years, and the battery health was around 73%. It was draining super fast, and after reading many testimonials on here, I figured today’s the day.

I make an appointment and they tell me it’s going to be $89, and to come back in two hours. I’m like alright. I come back to pick my phone, and Apple tells me they accidentally broke the phone during the replacement, and decided to just give me a brand new 13 Mini (same exact phone, same storage)

I’m not sure whether to feel lucky or upset. I did have to pay the replacement fee (around $89).

On a plus note, the new phone they gave me has a 100% battery health and I’ve definitely noticed an improvement in draining. If you’re thinking about replacing yours, it’s definitely worth it (as long as they don’t break your phone)

Moral of the story: Make sure you back up your phone if you’re planning on replacing the battery. Thankfully I had a recent iCloud backup so I was able to restore everything..
