Looking to celebrate 20th anniversary at Serenity at Coconut Bay
Hello! My wife and I are going to be celebrating our 20th anniversary next year and after looking through the wonderful excel sheet we found on here decided we would like to go to Serenity at Coconut Bay.
This would be our first AI and are looking forward to it! However, we have never gone on a trip out of country before and are looking for some feedback. Currently we were looking at between a $10 to $15k CND budget (could be subject to change) that would include the flights (from Canada - Winnipeg International Apt, MB CA (YWG)) and resort for a 5 night stay.
There are a couple extra excursions that interested us and noticed the costs would start to add up which we understand. Is the above budget reasonable, or should we be expecting and planning for more? Their website is currently advertising around 55% off almost all through the year this year which would have helped if we were going now... but sadly I can only hope they have that next year as well to help!
Next question is in regards to booking. We have kids that are in school, so we are hoping that we can plan around the typical school breaks so that we can have them stay with grandparents while we are gone which limits to either the spring break in March, Summer (July and August), and Winter breaks over Christmas into Jan. Which of those time frames would be the best time for us to go there?
We are still very far out but I love to get things planned out ahead of time! Any other advice is welcomed as well. This may be our only time we can go to an AI so I don't mind splurging a bit within reason.
