Night reflux was the worst part of my GERD for years.

I used to wake up feeling terrible, with symptoms affecting my whole next day.

What helped me the most:

• Eating my last meal 4–5 hours before sleep

• Sleeping on my left side

• Using an incline (wedge) pillow

• Avoiding water right before bed

These changes made a big difference for me.

It took a lot of trial and error to figure this out, but now it’s part of my daily routine.

If anyone is struggling with night reflux, I can share more details on what worked for me.

I’ve been dealing with GERD/acid reflux for almost 10 years and tried pretty much everything (meds, diets, supplements).

What actually helped me the most wasn’t a “cure”, but simple daily habits that reduced my symptoms a lot:

• Not eating 4-5 hours before bed

• Avoiding lying down after meals

• Smaller, slower meals instead of large ones

• Cutting trigger foods

It didn’t fix everything overnight, but over time my symptoms became much more manageable.

I actually wrote everything I learned into a simple routine guide for myself so I wouldn’t forget it. If anyone struggles with this, I’m happy to share what worked for me.
