First time sharing Jinx

Hey all, first time sharing jinx, my new cat gifted to me by my neighbour, after my old boy (Odi, who was 20) was PTS last summer. I've had Jinx since January, so 4 months. She was a rescue, turned up at the recuers, in the middle of nowhere, pregnant and ready to pop. She had 3 lovely kittens, who were all rehomed, but she was unable to find a home for Jinx for 7 months, till I saw a picture of her and fell in love. While it was love at first sight on my side, it was less so the other direction. It was a month before I regularly saw her outside her room (I gave her one of the spare bedrooms, with the door slightly open, so she had a safe place to go back to), 2 months before I could pick her up, so I took her to the vet. The stomatitis the rescuer said she had had treatment for hadn't cleared, so we had another round, and when we went back, it hadn't worked. So we had all her teeth out (except for the canines) 2 weeks ago, and she's been doing a lot better since. Cats are amazing, just continuing on in a lot less pain. I think some of the distance was the pain she was in, but difficult to tell with a new, very timid cat. She's running around, chasing toys, even destroying them. Hopefully soon, we can do the vaccine, as they wanted her teeth/gums sorted out first. Anyway, it's been a journey, and I love her to bits!
