I’ve been doing a lot of research for around the past 2-3 weeks on what backpack I should get for edc. For the most part I’ve boiled it down to

• Aer cpp2 24L
• Aer Tp4 28L
• Able carry max edc 26L

I don’t think I could go with something smaller than 24L while I technically could, I stand at 6 ft and bags start looking a bit on the smaller side for me.

My daily carry consists of my

Main EDC

• iPad 13”
• 14” laptop
• Peak design tech pouch (2L)
• pencil pouch (1L)
• 1 composition notebook (varies from semester to semester, especially if i labs where i need to submit paper)
• smaller items that usually get dumped into one of my smaller pockets: earbuds, keys, RPF2** **

Items I don’t always carry (not much)

• Hoodie (Depends on whether I’m too lazy to iron the wrinkles out of my shirt that morning)
• Nintendo Switch 2
• 26 oz water bottle (I usually stop at the convenience store to grab something most of the time)

My current backpack is a swissgear 1696 (around 29L according to Google) which is no longer in production, I’ve had it for around 6-7 years and it’s been my everything bag from school usage to weekend trips with my family.

Honestly would love to hear any experiences regarding these bags or even other recommendations to similarly sized bags.

As the title says, I’m looking for a new backpack. The one in the image is the same bag (Swiss gear 1696) I’ve been using for almost 6-8 years now. Everything in the photo is what consists of my daily carry, while not included sometimes I do throw in hoodie or a drink from the store. All the small items fit in tech pouch. I’ll usually throw my earbuds, a protein bar, and flashlight into the top pouch along with my keys. The front admin pouch will usually carry my calculator for the most part. As you can see I’m not exactly utilizing all of the bag’s space, this is pretty much thanks to the pencil pouch and tech pouch holding my cables and chargers. All of that would originally have been stored in the admin pouch.

I can’t say that I’m locked into any choices right now, but I’ve definitely had my eyes on Aer’s Travel pack 4 (28L), the CPP2 (24L), and Able Carry’s Max EDC. My current bag is 29L and in terms of organization I’d say it’s relatively decent, which is what I’m also looking for.

I’m honestly open to any suggestions as of right now.
