I’m looking to go into HR, but I’m trying to understand the work-life balance side of it, especially after-hours or on-call expectations. What has your experience been like, and about how many hours do you work in a typical week?

I am currently wanting to go into the field of HR but worry about being on call after hours. What’s your experience and how many hours do you work a week? I do not want to work more than 45-50 hrs a week or even 40 tbh.
