New to snake plants and not sure if what I'm seeing is normal or needs to be addressed in some way. Background: this is a plant my mom had for a few years. She passed away two years ago and I brought several of her plants home, including this one. It was very root bound in a small pot that also didn't have good drainage, so I repotted it in what I now know was probably too big / deep of a pot, as I now understand that snake plants like to be snug (but trust me, it was way more than snug in the old pot). I've been keeping it in a bright but slightly shaded (so not baking hot direct sun) south facing window for the last couple years since the repot. I water it maybe once a month when it is fully dried out. It has definitely gotten taller, but there's been almost no new growth, and the longest leaves are much more narrow at the base than at the ends. Also, the ends of all the leaves are twisting, some even to the point where it seems like it's starting to damage the leaf tips? I tried to catch it in the pictures. Is that normal? I have no idea what kind of snake plant this is and I know there are some twisty / wavy ones...is this just maybe one of those?
And finally, I rotated the pot the other day and found that there's a pup pushing hard (so hard that it has warped the plastic of the pot) against the side, like halfway down?! It's a clear pot that doesn't sit in a cover pot, so I'm assuming light hitting the dirt all day every day probably brought that on?
I was thinking about repotting the whole thing, but going back down a size (and get a cover pot, obvs). Would this help anything or just stress the plant out unnecessarily?
