Hi everyone,

I’m 7 months postpartum and have been actively working on losing weight. For the past couple of months, things were going really well. I was eating mostly home-cooked meals (thanks to a lot of support) and lost around 8 lbs.

Recently, I had a few nights of poor sleep, and that’s where things started to shift. I went back to having milk coffee with sugar (which I had intentionally cut out earlier), and then slowly started reaching for cookies or whatever snacks were around. Over a few days, that turned into more frequent snacking.

I check my weight daily, and after steady progress, I saw it go up by 1 lb today which felt discouraging.

I’m trying to understand this pattern and handle it better.

For those who’ve been through something similar:

How do you practice mindful eating especially on days when you’re tired or low on sleep?

Would love to hear what’s worked for you.
