I got my IUD just over a year ago, and after the 7th month mark (which was around October), I have now experienced the worst hormonal cystic acne ever, and it hasn't subsided ever since. Before, I was on LoLo, which was an oral contraceptive, and I never had any issues. At first when I started to have these breakouts, I thought it was due to the fact that I got dermaplaning done for the first time because it all started a week or two after but since I'm only breaking out on my chin, cheek and jawline, it all points to hormonal.
I do think it's best to get it removed, but I may try and talk to a dermatologist and see if there is any remedies I can do before jumping straight to the removal.
I would love to hear any thoughts/feedback 😄
