I'm currently on the waitlist for a puppy that the breeder initially anticipated to be born in June, with the dam's heat starting in early April. As of now, heat still hasn't started, though the breeder did let me know she thought it would have started last week. Obviously I understand biology and nature doesn't run on a precise timeline, but the heat prediction being off by so much kind of surprised me. For breeders, how accurately are you generally able to anticipate when heat will begin?
