Hey there!
I already posted this to r/EngineeringJobs but it doesn’t get the same traffic as this subreddit, so I thought I’d try here too.

Currently I work in procurement for a government entity, I buy engineering and construction services. I sit on panels and interview engineering firms to work on projects like water reuse, bridge restoration, dam restoration, and biogas utilization. Those are my bigger projects and it’s all very interesting. It’s my favorite part of my job! I want to go back to working for a private company and, more specifically, find remote work. My immediate thought is proposal writer because I’m the one firms write them for, but then I don’t know what my career would look like after that…

Does anyone know of a career path for a non-engineer that can be remote but also see all the interesting projects, and how they move up at a firm?

Thank you!
