My girlfriend and I are both 22-23 and moving to SD as we start out post-bach life. We aren't into a super hard party scene, but we love to be social, go out for cocktails, enjoy fitness, cafes, and walkability.
Coming from the east coast, we would love to truly take in the beach lifestyle, but we also really enjoy a city lifestyle. I would be working in La Jolla, and she would be working in Downtown. Our budget is $2900 - $3300. While we love going out, we are excited to enjoy as much as SD offers without spending too much extra $.
Currently, we are looking at Little Italy (downtown walkability, nicer complexes with gyms, social lifestyle), Mission Hills (compromise for location, price, and nightlife), and North PB (less apartment options but really like the idea of being able to walk to the beach and local bars). I have heard many good things about North Park, but does that feel too far away from the beach?
