We are not the window installers - it was the framers. We are installing siding on this new build that has Marvin brand windows. The flange on every window has a gap at the top or the bottom. It kinda looks like the flange just wasn’t slid into place properly like the flange is slid too far up or down. But I know that sometimes these windows come with little triangle pieces to complete the flange. I’m not sure if that’s what it’s missing….
The GC just told us to fill the holes with caulk so that’s what we’ve been doing. It just seems like this would be a rotting issue in the future though. What do you think?
